A practice organised around the engineering
Caisson is a multidisciplinary consulting engineering practice. Work is led by the engineer responsible for it, coordinated inside the firm, and issued under a checking process that is the same regardless of who the client is.
What the practice holds to
- Responsibility is named
- Every deliverable identifies the engineer who prepared it and the engineer who checked it. Responsibility is not distributed until it disappears.
- Registration governs scope
- We work only in disciplines and jurisdictions where the responsible engineer holds current registration. Where a scope requires a registration we do not hold, we say so and step back.
- Uncertainty is written down
- Assumptions, data gaps and the limits of an analysis are recorded on the deliverable, not left in someone's head.
- Claims are evidenced
- This website makes no claims about staff numbers, certifications, awards, project values or performance outcomes. What we can evidence, we issue in writing.
